The Monetary Committee of the National Bank of Georgia has left interest rates unchanged at 5%, Trend Capital said, citing a bank statement.
The bank said the decision was due to several positive trends in February.
Among these trends, there was a 17.9% growth in rapid money transfers during the last year, export growth, and the expected growth of foreign direct investment.
There has also been a rise in business lending by commercial banks.
"This will make it possible to ensure economic growth in the country," the national bank said.
