Mark Bassel Yousef, nicknamed Nakula Basseli Nakula, producer of the “Innocence of Muslims” film, has been sentenced to a year of jail in the US, ITAR-TASS reports.
He was sentenced to 1.5 years of prison for bank fraud in 2010 and banned from using the Internet for 5 years.
He admitted guilt for 4 out of 8 charges. The case had nothing to do with the film.
The film provoked protests in Egypt, Yemen, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan and Tunisia.
