Iranian president proposes talks with US

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made a speech about democracy in Bali and proposed direct negotiations on Tehran's nuclear program with the US, RIA Novosti reports.

The president assured that Iranian nuclear facilities were open for international observers. He noted that Iran was the first country to open nuclear facilities for world press.

Ahmadinejad proposed investigation of breaking diplomatic relations with the US in 1980.
