Russia needs special committee for ethnic policy - speaker

Russian parliamentary speaker Valentina Matviyenko says the authorities should establish a special governmental committee for ethnic policy.

Such a committee would monitor the situation surrounding interethnic peace in different regions of the country, the speaker explains.

She also says the strategy of ethnic policy will be developed by December 1st, 2012.
