The decree on the new members of the presidential council for development of civil society and human rights has been signed today, the Kremlin reports.
The council will have 65 members, including Yelizaveta Glinka, executive director of the Fair Help public organization; Yelena Masyuk, an observer of Novaya Gazeta paper; lawyer Sergey Pashin; TV host Leonid Parfenov; Pavel Chikov, head of the Agora interregional public association of human rights organizations; Lilia Shibanova, executive director of the Golos association; Maksim Shevchenko, president of the Center for Strategic Studies of Religion and Politics of the Modern World; journalists Leonid Nikitinsky, Nikolai Svanidze and Stanislav Kucher; publicist Irina Khakamada.
