Informal summit of heads of CIS states is held in Crimea

The heads of the CIS states are to meet at a two-day informal summit in Crimea, coinciding with Viktor Yanukovich's 60th birthday. It is expected that the events will be attended by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin along with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The Presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Poland are also invited. The two-day meeting was called by Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich to discuss investment, tourism and transport development issues. After the official events there will be celebrations involving various popular singers.
