Kalmyk Leader Alexey Orlov has appointed Igor Zotov, 42, as the Prime Minister of Kalmykia, approved by the majority of the regional parliament, Interfax reports.
Prime Minister Lyudmila Ivanova was dismissed.
Orlov dissolved the government on October 19.
Zotov worked as a specialist and deputy director of the department for international cooperation of the Russian Ministry for Environment in 2008-2011. He has been the Deputy Minister for Economy and Trade of Kalmykia since March 2011.
