Militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and Free Syrian Army had a clash at the Derbesia District on the Syrian-Turkish border, Trend reports.
PKK militants took over a control post abandoned by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces. Syrian rebels wanted to capture it too.
The conflict in Syria has been ongoing since March 2011. The UN says that over 30,000 people have died, over 230,000 have become refugees and about 3 million need humanitarian aid. Syrian authorities say that they face well-armed militants.
