Dagestani State Duma calls for cooperation in fighting extremism

Members of the Dagestani State Duma Zaur Askenderov, Ramazan
Abdulatipov, Balash Balashov, Magomed Hajiyev, Magomedkadi Hasanov,
Gadzhimet Safaraliev, Umahan Umakhanov and Khizri Shikhsaidov have issued a
joint statement condemning recent attacks in the country.

As previously reported, on the night of November 14 a member of the
Federal Security Service of the Republic of Dagestan was brutally
killed in one of Dagestan's districts. The crime was committed in
front of his family. Two days before that, the Imam of a mosque in one
of the Dagestani villages was killed.

Dagestani State Duma deputies expressed their condolences to the
families of the victims and demanded that security agencies disclose
information regarding crimes committed earlier, as well as find and punish
the killers.

Their statement ends with an appeal to all Dagestani citizens to
unite in the fight against extremism and terrorism.
