The official representative of the Russian Prosecutor General's Officem Marina Gridneva said today that Russia received a criminal case against a citizen of Kazakhstan, Ilya Pyanzin, accused of organizing an assassination plot against Vladimir Putin. The transfer of Pyanzin from Ukraine to Russia in August was made possible by negotiations between Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia and Ukraine, Interfax reports.
In February the Russian security services and Ukraine reported on the arrest of a number of criminals on the international wanted list in Odessa. Among the arrested was the native of Grozny Adam Osmaev. From the testimony of detainees, it became known that they were preparing an attempt on Vladimir Putin's life. Osmayev and Pianzin are facing up to 20 years in prison.
