The UN will not recognize the Syrian National Coalition as legitimate, but independent states may do that, spokesman of the UN secretary general Martin Nesirke said.
The LAS has recognized Syrian opposition and called it the only legitimate part of the negotiation process. US President Barack Obama has not recognized it as an exile government.
