Israeli Chief of General Staff Benny Gantz has ordered mobilization of 16,000 reservists. The military will mobilize a total of 30,000 in the future, ITAR-TASS reports.
Israel is deploying the Givati and Golani Brigades, paratroopers and two tank divisions to the Gaza Sector.
Israel agreed to stop air raids in Gaza as long as Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil was in the area if Palestinian militants stop attacked. Missile launches continued from Palestinian territories against border areas, Baer-Sheve, Ashdodu and Han-Yavne.
