Rajab Abbasov, Afig Allahverdiyev, Kamal Yagubov and Rashad Shakhbazo are under trial in Baku for attempting to blow up the Eurovision Song Contest, smuggling and illegal storage of weapons.
The group was uncovered in late May, attempting to assassinate President Ilham Aliyev and organize terrorist attacks at the song contest in Baku Crustal Hall. Blasts were planned at the Hilton Baku Hotel and Marriot Hotel Absheron. 40 members of the terrorist group were detained, their leader Vugar Padarov and a member Timur Gasanov were killed.
Trial processes against another group started in the Sheki District Court.
