Erdogan slams UN and Israel

Turkey wants to see justice in Gaza, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said today, once more condemning Israel for its five-day-old assault on the Palestinian territory, Hurriyet reports.

"What are we being told? Tell Hamas to stop the rockets [for a truce]. Are Israeli lives worth more than those of Gazans? We want justice. The attacks should stop simultaneously," Erdoğan said.

Erdoğan also criticized the United Nations for its failure to act on Gaza.

"I don't expect much from the United Nations anymore. The Security Council is now trapped between the lips of the leaders of five countries," Erdoğan said.
