Russian deputy prosecutor general wants harsher punishments for corruption

Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Sydoruk said at a meeting of the law-enforcement authorities of the NCFD in Kabardino-Balkaria that only 7% of people caught for corruption were jailed in 2012.

Only 25 people were convicted for corruption. Sydoruk believes that such a low figure of punishments for corruption provokes many questions.
