According to the press service of the Interior Ministry, three
bandits were detained today in Karachai-Cherkessia - the organizer
and two members of a religious extremist gang who planned to kill
police officers. The criminals' car was detected and blocked. During the
inspection of the vehicle, police found ammunition, detonators
and a camera with photos of police officers.
"The Center for Prevention of Extremism of the Republic's Interior
Ministry, together with the Russian Federal Security Service, arrested
three residents of the village of Druzhba in the Prikubansky district of the
Republic (born in 1984, 1987 and 1989), suspected of involvement in an
illegal armed group, possession of weapons, and in the preparation of
attacks on police," the portal YuGA.ru said.
Members of the illegal armed group planned an attack on Center "E", the
territorial department of the Federal Security Service of Russia and
the Ministry of Interior special forces unit for Karachai-Cherkessia.
