International Peace Prize awarded to the first President of the Chechen Republic

The presentation ceremony of the International Peace Prize "The Golden People" was held in Istanbul, YUGA.ru reports.

In the nomination "For contribution in establishing peace and friendship in the Caucasus" the prize was awarded to the first President of the Republic, Akhmad Kadyrov (posthumously).

Prominent political and public figures of Turkey took part in the ceremony.
