Israel demands guarantees that the attacks would stop and Gaza would be demilitarized. Egypt is mediating in the negotiation process.

Israel started the Pillar of Cloud Operation to prevent missile attacks from Palestine last week. Israel made hundreds of air attacks in the Gaza Sector and mobilized 75,000 reservists. Armored vehicles were moved to the Gaza border.
