Nino Giorgobiani, head of the PR department of the Georgian Interior Ministry, has made about 40 employees working on the Patrul TV show redundant.
Giorgobiani said that 38 had been fired, former press speaker of the ministry Salome Makharadze said that 46 people had lost jobs.
Reorganization was announced on November 16. Employees usually get informed about redundancies two weeks ahead.
