Israel is demobilizing reservists

The Israeli army has begun demobilizing reservists who had been conscripted during the military operation in the Gaza Strip. The army has officially recognized the mobilization of about 16 thousand reservists. Mobilization plans were seen as part of the preparation for a possible expansion of operations in the Gaza Strip.

As previously reported by Vestnik Kavkaza, Israel and Hamas have signed a truce. According to the agreement  Israel and representatives of the Islamist movement are obliged to stop all military actions in the Gaza Strip. In the event of a resumption of Palestinian attacks Israel reserves the right to resume hostilities and invade the territory.

A week-scale Israeli military operations in Gaza killed 162 people, including 42 children and 11 women, 1,200 Palestinians were injured. Israel has lost five people, dozens were injured as a result of Hamas' actions.
