A security car of the Armenian president came under fire in Yerevan on Wednesday, the "Zhogovurd" (People) newspaper reports, citing its own sources.
The newspaper said the fact was confirmed by the chief of the State Security Service, Hrachya Harutyunyan.
"Our employees were sent to the airport at night, and the official car was fired at near the cognac plant by a car driving by. It turned out that the driver is a resident of the city of Echmiadzin, who opened fire right out of the car. The police were informed and worked very quickly, and the perpetrator was found," the newspaper reports, quoting Harutyunyan.
