Georgian ex-premier expects detention

Georgian ex-Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili said that his questioning initiated by Georgian Chief Prosecutor Archil Kbilashvili may end up with Merabishvili’s detention.

Merabishvili is expected to be question for the work in 2005-2008, dismissal of Dato Akhalaya, director of the Department for Constitutional Security, and Vasily Sanodze, head of the General Inspection. The former PM is suspected of excess of power.

Georgian former Interior Minister Bacho Akhalaya was detained for excess of power three weeks ago.
