A delegation led by Armenia’s Minister of Defense, Seyran Ohanyan,
headed to Afghanistan Monday on a two-day working visit.
In Afghanistan, Ohanyan is scheduled to meet separately with Bismillah
Khan Mohammadi, the country’s Defense Minister; Lieutenant General
Nick Carter, Deputy Commander of the International Security Assistance
Force (ISAF); and Major General Erich Pfeffer, Commander of ISAF
Regional Command – North, Armenian MOD press service informs.
During the talks the parties will discuss Armenia’s engagement in
ISAF, and future programs.
Also, the delegation will pay a visit to the Armenian military units
that are stationed in Kunduz and Mazar-e-Sharif, and under the German
command unit within the ISAF Regional Command – North.
