Iran and Russia to prepare a road map for the energy sector

Masud Mirkyazymi, the Iranian Oil Minister, will visit Moscow on the 14th of July. He intends to meet with Russian Energy Minister, Sergei Shmatko, and the head of the Central Bank of Russia. An agreement about setting a road map for Russian-Iranian cooperation in the energy sector is to be signed during the visit. The head of the European, American and Caspian Administration of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of the Oil Ministry of Iran, Huseyn Ismaili, says that the road map will set a programme of cooperation between the two countries for the next 30 years, according to Trend, referring to the Iranian SHANA news agency. He adds that Iranian investors will be able to invest money in the Russian gas and oil industry, there will be collective development of gas and oil fields, shared companies and the creation of a cooperative energy bank and fund. Any other cooperation in gas sphere will be included in the road map after the document has been developed.
