Pyotr Samarsky ,a former high-ranking FSB official suspected of
bribe-taking and fraud, has once again escaped from custody, the chief
military investigation department of the Russian Investigative
Committee said on Thursday, RIA-Novosti reports.
Samarsky is a former head of the Federal Security Service (FSB)
anti-extremism department in the Volgograd Region.
"On November 28, 2012, Samarsky was taken to the military
investigation department in the Volgograd Region to familiarize
himself with the materials of his case. At about 4:30 p.m.[10:30 a.m. GMT]
he escaped from the building,” RIA-Novosti quotes the statement of the
investigation department.
Samarsky is suspected of receiving about $120,000 in bribes.
