About 1000 hectares of vineyards were planted in 2008-2012, including over 100 hectares this year, Interfax-South reports.
Kabardino-Balkaria has about 1500 hectares of vineyards. 517 hectares are starting to grow grape. The Agriculture Ministry plans to have 3000 hectares of vineyards planted before 2020.
