Rakhim Ramazanov, head of a unit of the 2nd city hospital of Makhachkala, told RIA Novosti that surgeon Shamil Gasanov and anesthesiologist Marat Gunashev had been arrested on November 28. The latter had been arrested during surgery.
Gunashev’s lawyer Zaur Magomedov said that the arrest had happened at 10 am.
Gunashev is suspected of killing Chief of the Directorate of the Interior Ministry in Makhachkala Ahmed Magomedov in 2010. The Leninsky Court of Makhachkala did not confirm the information. The case has not been registered at the Interior Ministry of Dagestan, spokesman of the ministry Vyacheslav Gasanov says.
A doctor was killed in Shamil Gasanov’s apartment when the police arrived for searches on November 29. Officers say that the doctor had a pistol.
