According to the Interior Ministry of Kabardino-Balkaria,
specialists in explosives defused a powerful home-made bomb found on
the side of the road in the Baksan district of Kabardino-Balkaria.
"Around 13:00 MSK on Monday employees of the Interior Ministry of
Defense in the village of Dugulubgey found a radio-controlled improvised
explosive device disguised with tree bark," a statement reads, RIA
Novosti reports.
The bomb was a metal tube with a diameter of 40-10cm, filled with
explosives based on ammonium nitrate and aluminium powder and equipped
with a radio-controlled device.
"According to experts, the power of the home-made bomb was not less
than seven kilograms of TNT," the Interior Ministry says.
In view of the risk of transporting, the bomb was destroyed on the spot.
