Tigran Karapetyan, leader of the People’s Party, and Aram Karapetyan, leader of the New Times Party, do not plan to take part in the presidential campaign, Aykakan Zhamanak reports.
Tigran Karapetyan announced his plans to run for president in August.
Both party leaders decided not to run for president due to disappointment over the by-year elections of the National Assembly.
The Republican Party won the by-elections in Yerevan and Gyumri on December 2. Tigran and Aram Karapetyans believes that the presidential polls will have the same outcome.
