The Turkish Sports Ministry has lifted the ban on wearing hijabs during training and competitions. Players may also use hijabs for registry photos.
Turkey continues easing traditions of Islamic clothes. The previous initiative was to lift restrictions for wearing hijabs at universities and schools.
