2 former Georgian ministers placed in same prison

Former Georgian minister of defense Irakly Okruashvili and former internal minister Bacho Akhalaya were placed in the Ninth Prison of Tbilisi.

Both officials have been accused of abuse of power. The case has immediately drown internation attention and raised fears that an epoch of political persecutions has begun in Georgia.
