Spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said today that investigation of murder of VGTRK TV journalist Kazbek Gekkiyev in Nalchik will be carried out by experienced officers of the Main Investigative Directorate of the North Caucasian Federal District, RIA Novosti reports.
The journalist was headshot by two assailants on his way home at night. Two 9mm shells were found at the crime scene.
A group of investigators from the central office of the Russian Investigative Committee will help search for the attackers.
