Putin promises to find and punish killers of journalist Kazbek Gekkiev

Killers of the journalist Kazbek Gekkiev should be found and punished by the law enforcement agencies, Russian President Vladimir Putin said today at a meeting with the Human Rights Commissioner Vladimir Lukin.

Putin drew attention of the interlocutor to the fact that the murder Gekkieva raises questions about the protection of the rights of Russian citizens, RIA Novosti reports. The president said that Gekkiev's right for life as well as distribution of information have been violated.
