The Russian Federation Council has discussed the 2012 Hajj. The head of the Russian Hajj Mission, Magomed Gamzayev, addressed attendees of the meeting.
According to Gamzayev, 20,653 Muslim pilgrims carried out Hajj this year. Some 6 thousand people made the pilgrimage with help from sponsors.
'Pilgrims from 69 regions of Russia made Hajj this year. This is a great achievement," Gamzayev said.
