Kidnappers of Ankhar Kochneva, a journalist, are now threatening to terrorize Ukrainian, Russian and Iranian diplomatic missions and their citizens, Ukraina reports.
Militants threatened to kill the journalist, calling her a spy and a translator of Russian officers, unless a ransom is paid. The ultimatum filed by commanders of the Free Syrian Army Abu Jandal and Farid Abu Hussein expires today.
The Guardian posted a video on November 28 where Ankhar said she was a Russian intelligence officer. Experts and journalists say she was forced to say that. President of the International Federation of Journalists Jim Boumelha expressed concerns over Kochneva and said that her kidnappers will be punished for executing her.
