Azerbaijani and Moldovan Constitutional Courts sign memorandum of cooperation

The Constitutional Courts of Azerbaijan and Moldova have signed a memorandum of cooperation on Wednesday .

The document was signed during the visit of the head of the?Moldovan Constitutional Court to Azerbaijan. The memorandum was signed by the chairmen of the Azerbaijani and Moldovan Constitutional Courts, Farhad Abdullayev and Dumitru Pulbere.

"Relations between the Constitutional Courts of Azerbaijan and Moldova are developing in parallel. Our participation in international organizations will promote the development of relations between the countries," Abdullayev said. "After the signing of a memorandum, relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova in the legal field will become even closer," he said.

Exchange of practice and consultations with Azerbaijani colleagues is valuable for the?Moldovan Constitutional Court, Pulbere said. "We hope that the ties between the Constitutional Courts of our countries will develop and strengthen," he said.

A memorandum of intentions on cooperation was signed in February 2009 with the participation of the head of the Azerbaijani Constitutional Court in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Moldovan Constitutional Court. Similar documents were signed by Azerbaijan with Turkey and Belarus.
