Verkhovna Rada approves return of Nikolay Azarov to post of Prime Minister of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada has voted in favor of the re-appointment of Nikolay Azarov
as Prime Minister of Ukraine.

On December 3 President Viktor Yanukovych accepted the resignation of
Prime Minister Nikolat Azarov, which led to the resignation of the entire
government. On Sunday it was reported that Yanukovych, who according to the
Constitution has to propose a new candidate for prime
minister to parliament, has proposed Azarov.

The day before, Rada deputies had failed to elect a speaker or approve a
candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
