Nationality of criminals will not be mentioned in mass media

At a meeting today with the Legislative Council, Russian President
Vladimir Putin supported the initiative of Moscow City Duma Speaker
Vladimir Platonov to legislatively prohibit mentioning the
nationalities of suspects and convicts in the media.

Putin said that a criminal does not have a nationality, so it should
not be mentioned.
