Georgia to establish medical center for troops in Afghanistan

 

Georgia will establish a medical center for soldiers wounded in Afghanistan, Deputy Defense Minister Irakly Alasania said, noting that the US will support the project, Vzglyad reports.

Soldiers will be transported to Georgia for treatment.

Two Georgian battalions with 750 soldiers each serve in Afghanistan under the auspices of the US. France commands a Georgian company of 175 soldiers.
