Zurab Abashidze, special envoy of Georgian President Bidzina Ivanishvili, has rounded up the meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in Switzerland on Friday.
The official said that the meeting was “not bad”. They discussed trade-economic relations, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Abashidze noted that the Georgian population was demanding a dialogue with Russia. Western states wanted to normalize ties with Russia.
The Georgian envoy added that such meetings will most likely become regular and may be held once in two or three months.
