Court leaves Ahmed Chergizov in custody until spring

Ahmed Chergizov, the former head of the village of Voznesenovskaya in the
Malgobek district of Ingushetia, accused of multi-million dollar fraudulent
criminal activity will remain in custody until next spring.

As a representative of the Pyatigorsk city court has reported, his
detention has been extended until March 2013, RIA Novosti reports.
The investigation has opened a criminal case against Ahmed Chergizov
due to his participation in criminal activities. The case involves
dozens of people, including government officials, notaries and
real estate agents.

The court has remanded Ahmed Chergizov in custody until spring.
