Spokesman of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor general’s Office Eldar Sultanov said that information about the arrest of MP Gular Ahmedova, suspected of corruption, was false.
The legislative was booted from the Yeni Azerbaijan Party. She was involved in a scandal when she published a video on YouTube where former head of the Baku International University Elshad Abdullayev was trying to buy membership in the parliament. Prosecutors are studying the video.
