Georgia's PM and president launch personal attacks

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has harshly criticised the country's prime minister and his Georgian Dream coalition as 'a bunch of destroyers'. He said he had warned society about the threats it would face if the opposition won.

Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili reacted, saying that the president is shameless. "Such statements mean nothing. The people know what's black and what's white," the prime minister said.

The prime minister also said that the president maintains a luxurious lifestyle, which the country can no longer afford. "No other leader has as many palaces and summer cottages as the Georgian president," Ivanishvili said.
