Today the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Georgia elected its
president. The majority - 59 - votes were cast for Lery Habelov.
Incumbent President Gia Natsvlishvili managed to obtain only 43 votes.
The First Vice-President of the NOC became the President of the
Association of Georgian Journalists Elguja Berishvili, Vice Presidents
became the Olympic champion in pistol shooting Nino Salukvadze and
Mamuka Khabareli.
Habelov is an activist of "Georgian Dream", while Gia Natsvlishvili is
a member of the United National Movement.
