The state committee for securities of Azerbaijan signed a memorandum with the Turkish council Capital Markets Board (SPK). They will exchange information and cooperate in technology, Trend reports, citing the state committee.
The document was signed on July 13 by the head of the SPK, Vedat Akgiray, and the head of the Azerbaijani state committee, Rufat Aslandy.
The number of agreements between the SPK and other countries has now reached 26, including Azerbaijan, Akgiray said. This is the fourth agreement on regulating the securities market between Azerbaijan and other countries. The other agreements are with Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
The head of SPK said that his organization’s activities in IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Organization) has expanded. At the annual meeting in Canada they elected the chairman o the commission of developing countries, where 83 countries are represented. The next meeting will be held in Turkey in October.
