Turkey is building special boats for Armenian pilgrims due to arrive on the island of Akhtamar on September 19 for a service in an Armenian church, anspress reports.
According to Anadolu, the boat owners will not only make sure that the boats are comfortable and safe, but also that they meet the standards of EU. Building a boat takes approximately 2 months, and each one costs $42 000. There will be 40 boats for the pilgrims.
