Former Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze has said in an interview with Georgian media that, in his opinion, the United National Movement and President Mikheil Saakashvili have finished their business.
Shevardnadze stressed that in his opinion Saakashvili and his team have no resources that would allow them to return to power and said that the Georgian people do not need Saakashvili anymore.
"I hope that Saakashvili will be wise enough to resign on his own before the people overthrow him," the Georgian former president said.
Speaking yesterday before party members, Saakashvili once again said he would not withdraw from politics after 2013, and that the United National Movement has not suffered a final defeat yet.
