Rafsanjani calls on Iran to conduct free transparent elections

Today, former Iranian president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has given the
authorities certain solutions to social tensions in the country.

He urged the authorities to conduct transparent and legitimate elections.
If political activists and the people accept the results, they will help
the government to solve all the existing problems, ILNA quotes the former
president as saying.

Rafsanjani expressed his opinion at a meeting with members of the Islamic
associations of the universities of Tabriz and Tehran.
