The first secretary of the Georgain Embassy in Slovakia was attacked in the capital, Bratislava, Gazeta.ru reports with reference to the Georgian television station Rustavi-2.
The unknown assailant attacked Alexander Chkuaseli on Wednesday night at the entrance to his house. Supposedly, the attack was committed with the purpose of robbery.
The injured Georgian diplomat was taken to hospital with concussion and was later discharged. An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Georgian and Slovakian human rights advocates.
