Kazakhstan investigates plane crash of border guards

 

The military prosecutor of the Chimkent Garrison has initiated a criminal case over the crash of an An-72 of the Border Guards Service.

The plane crashed near Chimkent. It was carrying 27 people, 7 crew members and 20 military officials, including Col. Turganbek Stambekov, head of the Borders Guards Service. There were no survivors. The officials were on their way to Chimkent for the Military Council to round up 2012.
